Tale of Three Cities - directed by Mabel Cheung and Alex Law - has been officially confirmed to be the story of Charles and Lee-lee Chan. Mabel Cheung said that after making Traces of a Dragon she became friends with Charles and learned many details of his relationship with Lee-lee that not even Jackie knew. The film was made with Jackie's permission and according Mabel, Jackie was very moved when he saw it.
