Jackie Chan : Movie Channel Promotion
The Movie Channel launched a War film promotion in a glitzy ceremony in Beijing last night. It is the 70th Anniversary of Chinese Victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression next month. For more information CHINA DAILY. Jackie sang "Homeland" but apologised for not singing well as he was suffering from altitude sickness after his visit to Lhasa, Tibet the day before. "I woke up this morning to discover two of my assistants had used the rest of the oxygen. On arrival in Beijing I went directly from the plane to the event dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory over fascism and Japanese invaders. The organisers wanted me to sing "Homeland" but I have not sung in a long time and so I was not able to perform as usual ... all because of mountain sickness .... haha!"'

Jackie Chan visits Tibet
Today Jackie visited Lhasa, Tibet on a joint charity outreach with the Red Cross Foundation. The "Angel Network - Tibet Action" was co-sponsored by the Shanghai Youth Foundation who donated money to pay for the reconstruction of eight health centers. Today Jackie was at the Tibet Children's Welfare Institute which provides care for orphans and disabled children and he also visited an old age home. Jackie presented a check to the Tibet Autonomous Region on behalf of the Red Cross. He also brought school bags, stationery, warm clothing and other gifts.
Jackie said that the most important thing he brings is the feeling that someone cares for them. Jackie also said that he doesn't have time to rest because there are so many places to visit but he hopes that he doesn't have to come back; that he hopes that there will be no more disasters.

Fans donation after Jackie Chan donate to Tianjin Victims
After seeing Jackie's donation to the victims of the Tianjin explosion fans from Malaysia and China collected slightly more than 1 million RMB and with the help of China Movie Report the money was given to Jackie yesterday.
Jackie had this to say:
Today I was really touched by fans who saw my donation message and actually collected about 1 million RMB and went through many hands to reach me through the movie channel, to help the family members of the firefighters who laid down their lives in the Tianjin explosion. I was able to inspire them to show compassion, you trust me so much, the "pressure" is really great. Together with your donations I must pass on your kind feelings to the people in need, everyone please supervise! Thank you for all the kindness.
